Brazil fest to screen Farhadi's ‘A Hero’

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’ is to be screened at the Mostra-Sao Paulo Int’l Film Festival in Brazil.

Iranian feature ‘A Hero’ is set to participate at the Mostra-Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.

‘A Hero’ by internationally acclaimed director Asghar Farhadi will be screened at the 45th edition of the Brazilian event.

Farhadi's feature is about Rahim, a divorced man who has been imprisoned due to unpaid debt. During a two-day leave, Rahim tries to prove that he is a good person.

The movie is starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, and Fereshteh Sadr-Orafaee.

‘A Hero’ was awarded the Grand Prix at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in France. The prize was also shared by Juho Kuosmanen’s ‘Compartment No.6’.

Farhadi’s films ‘A Separation’ (2011) and ‘The Salesman’ (2016) won two Oscars for best foreign-language film.

The 45th edition of Mostra-Sao Paulo International Film Festival will run from October 21 to November 3.
